Expert guide to Les Gets
For a small resort, Les Gets has good selection of comfortable hotels, from two- to four-star. There’s also a fair choice of apartment accommodation, however there are surprisingly few catered chalets run by UK tour operators.
Hotels
Hotel Christiania
The small, 20-room Christiania is a traditional hotel with wooden décor at the foot of the slopes, just 50m from the main lifts. Scottish-owned and staffed by British workers it has comfortable bedrooms, a bar-lounge area with log fire, children’s play room, sauna and two outdoor hot tubs.

Hotel Marmotte
At the foot of the slopes and lifts, the lovely four-star Hotel Marmotte started life in 1936. Now luxuriously renovated, it has 63 rooms and suites, two bars, three restaurants and two children’s games rooms. The spa includes a large indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room, plus 10 treatment rooms and a herbal infusion room.

Chalets and apartments
Les Fermes Emiguy apartments
The three-star superior Fermes Emiguy apartments range from one- to three-bedroom, and are 400m from the main lifts. The free resort shuttle bus also stops nearby. They are well-equipped, comfortably furnished and decorated in contemporary style, and a bread-delivery service is available each morning. There’s a small indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and fitness room.

Chalet Monet
One of family-specialist Ski Famille’s seven chalets in Les Gets, Chalet Monet has large living room with wood burning stove, separate dining area and dedicated playroom. As with other Ski Famille chalets, the operator has worked with the owner to make it as family-friendly as possible, including creating four family suites as well as double and twin rooms. It also offers in-chalet child care and various other options including outdoor play and taking children to and from ski school.

Chalet Fleur de Neige
One of two catered chalets in Les Gets run by British tour operator Ski2, Chalet Fleur de Neige is 600m from the main lifts – a short walk or even quicker bus ride in Ski2’s on-call mini-bus. The chalet has six double/ twin bedrooms, a spacious lounge and a separate dining room. Short breaks as well as full weeks are available.

Ferme de Montagne
A luxurious and lovingly restored old farmhouse, Ferme de Montagne is located in the hamlet of La Turche on the edge of Les Gets, near a drag-lift and fast chairlift into the slopes. It has just eight sumptuous bedrooms, an antique bar and comfy chairs in the library, and a sauna/steam room, outdoor hot tub and in-house therapist. The very smart restaurant serves Michelin-standard food and a ski concierge is on hand to help with equipment, book a restaurants or join guests on the slopes.
