The best hotels in Cervinia including traditional inns and chic rooms on the slopes

Advice

These are unusual times, and the state of affairs can change quickly. Please check the latest travel guidance before making your journey. Note that our writer visited pre-pandemic.

While Cervinia is a cheaper bet in which to stay than its neighbouring, linked resort of Zermatt, prices are higher than elsewhere in the Aosta Valley because of access to this extended ski area – and because of Cervinia’s own snow-sure reputation.

There is a good choice of reasonably-priced, family run hotels in the town centre, as well as some fabulous options with spas and quality restaurants. There are also some good options on the slopes above the town for easy ski-in/ski-out access to the groomed runs first thing.

Hotel Da Compagnoni

A homely establishment and a good choice for families on a tight budget, Hotel Da Compagnoni was originally built in the 1950s, but the bedrooms are contemporary with some traditional furnishings. It’s located in the resort centre.
