Milk Bar Is Bringing Back Its Famed Thanksgiving Croissants

Food & Drink

A beloved seasonal treat is returning to New York after a years-long hiatus.

Starting today, Milk Bar will be releasing limited edition treats available in small quantities online with a new program called The Holiday Lab. All products will be made in Milk Bar’s Lab, their R&D innovation kitchens at both the NYC and Los Angeles Flagship locations.

The first week’s drop will be Milk Bar’s Thanksgiving Croissants! These Thanksgiving dinner-stuffed croissants first launched in 2011 and have been one of Milk Bar’s most beloved and most requested menu items, though they haven’t been on the menu for the past few years. Made with an herbed, buttery puff pastry filled with tart cranberry sauce, tender roasted turkey, and saucy gravy, each croissant is a labor of love folded by hand, and will be available in limited quantities.

Every Monday through December 12, a new treat will drop on Milk Bar’s special Holiday Lab microsite at 2pm EST. All products are available for shipping anywhere in the US and limited quantities will also be for sale at the NYC and LA Flagship stores.

“In Milk Bar’s Lab, there are no rules when it comes to flavor story, format or recipe. Our only rule is: is this the most delicious thing we can make? Small batches, but big flavor, we have quite the line up from now until Christmas,” said Christina Tosi, founder of Milk bar. “Think of it as a collection of the most delicious things from our holiday brains that are one-of-a-kind, rule-breaking creations we’re bringing to you weekly, to keep all to yourself or gift away. We’re kicking things off with a classic, one of our most requested menu items- something savory that sent folks sprinting to a Milk Bar when they first debuted in 2011, the Thanksgiving Croissant.”

Thanksgiving Croissants will be 8 for $80 online, or $9 each in store. Online: $80 for a pack of 8

The subsequent drops will be announced the morning of their release. They will include never-before-seen desserts perfect for holiday gifting, entertaining, or simply something new to enjoy all to yourself and get in the holiday spirit.
