Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 14. And tradition states that this Sunday holiday requires a celebratory brunch. Start the celebration early and keep it going all day with these delicious brunches, both prix-fixe and ala carte, at some of New York’s most esteemed restaurants. Treat mom to a delicious meal, it doesn’t have to be cooked by you, but making a nice reservation is a sweet gesture. Here’s where to book for brunch this Mother’s Day.

Brasserie Fouquet’s

The buzzy Tribeca hotspot is a nod to the original on Champs-Élysées and will offer live music, ice sculptures and more to whisk mom away to Paris. The spread will inclusive croissants, poached white asparagus with sauce gribiche, salmon tartar, French onion soup, crap cake benedict with wild ramps and yuzu kosho hollandaise, dover sole with turmeric spiced pomme puree, chicken and waffles, and more. $175 per person, reservations are limited.

DANIEL

Chef Daniel Boulud’s namesake restaurant on the Upper East Side, is offering a three-course prix-fixe for $275 per person and an optional wine pairing of $135 per person. Menu highlights include a Maine lobster salad, Lehigh Valley duck, and a herb vacherin for dessert.

BLACKBARN

This Farm-to-Table, American restaurant in NoMad will feature a special pre-fixe menu for $55 per person. Start with a choice of a house made granola bowl with fresh berries, honey-orange yogurt; kale salad with quinoa, pomegranate, bacon lardon topped with avocado green goddess dressing or avocado toast with heirloom tomato and baked ricotta. For entrees, diners will have their choice of buttermilk pancakes with macerated fruit; eggs Benedict with house cured ham or smoked salmon, hollandaise on an English muffin; fried chicken and waffles served with a rosemary-parmesan waffle, maple butter sauce; huevos chilaquiles with tomatillo salsa, cotija cheese, avocado, chorizo, radish and mango Pico de Gallo or Waffle Croque Madame with rosemary-parmesan waffle, ham, tarentaise cheese and a fried egg. Gallow Green

The seasonal champagne brunch will return to this Meatpacking District rooftop garden oasis, starting Saturday, May 13, just in time for Mother’s Day. Reservations are $75 per person (plus tax and gratuity) for a 2-hour seating that includes a buffet, mimosas, and hot coffee or tea, with live music by MK Groove Orchestra. Dishes includes salads, grain bowls, jumbo shrimp cocktail, yogurt parfaits, fresh fruits, assorted breads, and pastries, plus hot entrees like omelettes, fried Amish chicken, carving stations and more.

Gab’s

Gab’s will be blooming this Mother’s Day as Sterling Flower Farm makes custom floral arrangements for moms during brunch at the West Village restaurant. Brunch dishes will include French Toast served with diplomat creme and rhubarb; trout roe and soft scramble served on a house made Sourdough, or Berkshire pork rib hash served with two poached eggs. Everdene

For its first Mother’s Day, Everdene at Virgin Hotels NYC is offering a special $85 three course brunch menu. Enjoy a complimentary glass of Prosecco while overlooking the sweeping Manhattan views on the terrace and attend a floral arranging workshop. There will also be a special live performance from Antoine Drye & Quartet from noon until 4pm. Menu options include tuna crudo, chilled English pea soup, ricotta gnudi and more.

Bar Blondeau,

Located atop the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, Bar Blondeau will host its annual Mother’s Day High Tea. Guests can indulge in an afternoon of elegance and refinement with a selection of sweet and savory options, including the signature Wythe Cake and the Strawberry Fraisier Cake, as well as adorable mini sandwiches. Families with children can enjoy a la carte options such as mac and cheese, grilled cheese, chicken tenders and French fries. The rooftop terrace, which offers stunning views of the city, will open for the season and provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable Mother’s Day celebration.

The Paris Cafe

The newly revamped historic restaurant The Paris Cafe (est 1873 will offer a memorable Mother’s Day experience with a prix fixe and floral arranging experience. American-inspired dishes include broiled shrimp oreganata, lemon chicken with fried fingerling potatoes, dijon and herb crusted rack of lamb with port wine sauce and sautéed veggies and Paris Affogato to end the meal on a sweet note. La Mercerie

La Mercerie, Soho’s premiere French dining destination by Roman and Williams is offering a special $70 prix-fixe menu for Mother’s Day. The meal begins with pastries and Harry’s Berries for the table. Guests can choose between greek yogurt with seasonal fruit and honey, a grapefruit, avocado and shrimp cocktail, or a house-smoked salmon tartine for their second course. Finally, the main course choices are the well-known and loved crêpe complète with egg, ham, and cheese, a vegetable quiche, a nicoise salad or a croque monsieur. The menu can be enjoyed en plein air in the only Roman and Williams-owned and -designed garden in New York, as well as inside the restaurant, where Flora Field Studios flowers bring the garden to your table, making for the ideal Mother’s Day setting.

NARO

NARO, a new venture from the team behind Atoboy and Atomix, will be offering a special $125 five-course tasting menu to celebrate Mother’s Day. Offerings include tangpyeongchae (mungbean nelly, chilled vegetables, choganjang), halibut sooljjim (root vegetable namul, chervil, chungju broth), and eggplant bap (walnut, daechu, chrysanthemum), with a selection of showstopping Korean desserts from pastry chef Celia Lee.
