August 3 Is National IPA Day. Celebrate With These 8.3% ABV Beers.

National IPA Day has been a celebration of one of the most popular craft beer styles since 2011.

Observed on the first Thursday each August, National IPA Day is a hoppy hootenanny. Since it falls on August 3 (8/3) this year, here are six IPAs with 8.3% ABV. Cheers!

WeldWerks Dad Nap – Greeley, Colorado is famous for one thing: a great brewery. Dad Nap is WeldWerks’ hazy double IPA made with Riwaka, Lotus and Galaxy hops. It is a tropical delight.

Offshoot Reveal – Offshoot is a sibling brand of California’s The Bruery. Reveal is a west coast DIPA made with a blend of Citra, Centennial, Cashmere and Cryo Pop hops, in addition to Hopzoil hop oil. Reveal is for people who love hops.

Threes SFY Double IPA – Since their founding in 2014, Brooklyn’s Threes Brewing has earned a global reputation for their amazing beers. SFY Double IPA is hopped with Columbus and the ever-popular combination of Mosaic and Simcoe.

Bear Republic Racer X – An early entry in the craft beer scene, California’s Bear Republic was founded in 1995 and helped define west coast IPA. Their Racer X remains a favorite double IPA among beer lovers.

Mast Landing Pantless Thunder Goose – What is a pantless thunder goose? According to the label on this beer, it’s an ostrich. But no matter. This Mast Landing double IPA took home a gold medal for Juicy or Hazy Imperial India Pale Ale at the 2022 World Beer Cup, one of the largest brewing competitions in the world.

Burning Barrel Dripping In Gold – This double west coast IPA is made with a combination of New Zealand and American hop varieties: Nelson Sauvin, Vista, Cascade and Meridian, and has an extra dose of Nelson Sauvin in the form of a new type of lupulin concentrate called SubZero Hop Kief.
