NAPLES, ITALY – Today we’re traveling outside of Naples to eat at 2 pizzeria’s; one that’s rated as the #1 best pizza in the entire world, and two where you’ll find one of the world’s best and most innovative pizza chefs. Let’s go try them both!

I Masanielli di Francesco Martucci (https://maps.app.goo.gl/B5sBsdxXq93dUwcL9) – For the first restaurant we’re in Caserta, Italy, just 30 minutes outside Naples. And this restaurant was rated on the official world pizza list, by pizza experts around the world, as the best pizza in the world. Chef and owner Francesco Martucci was so kind to us and even prepared pizza himself for use – as well as some of his new and exciting pizzas. It was indeed pizza unlike any I’ve ever had – the crust was so bubbly and so airy, like an inner tube.
Mozzarella factory – To continue this pizza tour we drove further into the mountains just 30 minutes towards Pepe in Grani. But before arriving, we stopped at a mozzarella factory. To make the best pizza in the world, you need the best ingredients, so Chef Franco Pepe sources local ingredients and the best of the best. It was a great opportunity to learn about fresh buffalo mozzarella.
Pepe In Grani (https://maps.app.goo.gl/PM3GHbcdYZ3YErDw9) – We finally arrived to Caiazzo, Italy, home to Pepe in Grani, one of the most famous pizzerias in the world, and featured on Netflix Chef’s Table. Chef and owner Franco Pepe is one of the best pizza chef’s in the world, and is not afraid to break traditional pizza rules. He’s inspired endless pizzerias around the world. His restaurant serves over 1000 pizzas a night, but we went to his special 8 seater chef’s table pizzeria – considered the smallest pizzeria in the world. He cooked for us his full pizza course and it was without a doubt some of the best pizza and ingredients I’ve ever had in my life. For this private pizza experience, it cost 200 Euros per person, but it was a once in a lifetime pizza experience.
Both pizzerias are two of the best in the entire world and it was an honor to try them both!
