June is Wellness Month At The Luxury Hotel Mousai Puerto Vallarta

Imagine paddling 2.5 miles in a kayak along Banderas Bay in Puerto Vallarta, and you jump in the warm ocean to snorkel. Within minutes over a million tiny friendly krill fish swim alongside you. This is one of the many wellness experiences guests can partake in when staying at Hotel Mousai. 

June is Wellness Month, the resort is offering an array of daily wellness opportunities, wellness classes, workshops and events all month long.

During the month of June, the company is hosting its third annual Wellness Month. “It’s the most important month for guests to come and experience different wellness opportunities based on their lifestyle and needs,” said Aldo Garcia Escobar at Hotel Mousai. “We have such diversity among our 85-acre nature preserve. There is always something beautiful for guests to see and experience.”

Set among a lush coastal forest and light golden sand beaches, the hotel has invited some top wellness influencers to teach a class, lead a workshop and share their healthy lifestyle choices with guests.

Every morning at 8 a.m., naturalist and marine enthusiast Diego leads a group of hotel guests on a five-mile round trip kayak excursion along Banderas Bay. He stops along the way to enlighten kayakers about the history and stories of the area. Once the group reaches the five Los Arcos rocks, kayakers are invited to don their snorkel mask to swim among an abundance of fish and marine life.

The beauty of staying at Hotel Mousai is that if you stay in either the oceanview North or South Tower, you receive the best of both resorts. Located uphill in a jungle setting, sensational views of Puerto Vallarta’s coastline, verdant landscape, towering mountains, and the iconic Los Arcos rocks are visible.

The spacious guest rooms and suites at Hotel Mousai can be opened with the tap of a Hotel Mousai bracelet. Each room is unique and colorful in design. Thoughtful art by local artists are hung in guest rooms and throughout the resort. There are also some playful design touches that is common in Mexico.

Many of the suites have a large terrace with a hot whirlpool, a swinging hammock, and comfortable lounge chairs to seek rest and wellness while in your room.

There is a fully stocked mini-bar with snacks and room service can be ordered 24/7 from an iPad.

For those with children, down below nestled along the exclusive southern coastline of Puerto Vallarta Garza Blanca Resort. Located right on a premium sand beach with water activities, there are multiple restaurants and swimming pools. It’s a luxurious family-friendly property with luxe suites, attentive personalized service and an array of beautiful amenities.

Mirroring the success of prior years, the resort has curated a robust calendar of events, workshops and classes guided by esteemed fitness trainers, nutritionists, yoga teachers, holistic therapists and other professionals in the health and wellness space. 

Every guest will receive information and a menu of daily fitness classes, culinary opportunities, and mindful events and activities aimed to provide nurturing self-care.

Special wellness invited guests to lead some of the classes include Paola Contreras, a certified yoga and pilates instructor. She guides guests in a meditative sound bath experience under the new nature dome at Tierra Luna Gardens. This venue also allows guests to participate in morning tai chi to gather healing chi energy while looking out to lush trees and the ocean.

Healthy Dining is always available at both Hotel Mousai and Garza Blanca Resort year round, and during Wellness Month, guests will have access to a selection of the same healthy and gourmet culinary options across each property.

Start the morning at one of the interactive beverage stations making fresh cold-pressed juices and smoothies, as well as signature tonics and beverages like ginger lemonade and tea infusions. Within each of TAFER’s signature restaurants, a Wellness Corner will showcase additional healthy options for diners with helpful nutritional information for each dish. Vegan diners can also opt for completely vegan menu options at each culinary outlet.

At the open-air Tierra Luna Gardens in Puerto Vallarta, guests can embark on a botanical garden tour, followed by a guided class on how to prepare herbal-infused smoothies and healthy beverages.

There are an array of restaurants preparing a variety of international dishes to appeal to every guest staying and dining at Hotel Mousai and Garza Blanca. 

Hotel Mousai has esteemed Executive chef Lau Su Kiean preparing multi-sensory Asian dishes at the fine dining restaurant DAO. Other award-winning chefs include Executive Massimo Fongaro at the lively and colorful NOI, off the lobby of Hotel Mousai South Tower. Live music in the evening sets the ambiance as diners enjoy authentic Italian pastas, pizzas, salads, breads and grilled proteins.

Guests can taste the wonders of Japanese Cuisine at Hiroshi off the lobby of Hotel Mousai’s North Tower. Beautifully presented Japanese dishes include sashimi, sushi rolls, soups, tempura yakitori, lobster, chicken, steak and vegetable medleys. Attend one of the artisanal cooking classes showcasing healthy locally sourced ingredients. For an additional fee, a complete Robata culinary experience will be offered at Hiroshi.

Both towers have rooftop swimming pools with a bar for beverages and tables and lounge chairs to enjoy lunch overlooking the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean.

Wellness classes such as aqua fitness and paddleboard yoga classes may be held at one of the pool areas, including the popular pool down by the sand.

Activities around the property include a stretching class and vinyasa yoga under TAFER’s beloved Orange Tree. Enjoy a healthy breakfast before or after a class at Terrace next to this location.

Both the resort towers have Wellness Zone fitness centers featuring top-of-the-line exercise equipment. Open all year, the South Tower has a smaller workout studio above the lobby, and the North Tower has a larger fitness studio providing guests with 90-degree views of Banderas Bay and Puerto Vallarta to inspire you to stay longer during your workout daily.

For those who want to relax and unwind, join an aura cleansing on the beach. Later sit in one of the lounge chairs on the sand, take a swim in the warm water, and soak up some sun.
