2025 is set to become a landmark year for luxury hotels, and we will continue our global New Hotel and Resort Openings series in Europe. Poised to redefine luxury and architectural grandeur and combine them with sustainability and unique offerings, here is a look at 26 projects confirmed to open next year in Europe.

Following the success of its original Brach Paris property, Evok will launch Brach Madrid, the group’s first hotel in Spain, in January 2025. Situated on Gran Via – a bustling area of central Madrid filled with trendy shops, buzzy restaurants, and bars – the iconic French designer Philipe Starck will design the property. Delivering a one-of-a-kind, luxury experience with a creative twist for guests and travelers alike, the 57-room hotel boasts a sports club, swimming pools, pâtisserie, kitchen garden, terraces, and bar as well as La Capsule, a gold-embellished 400 sqm luxury spa pairing advanced technology with traditional holistic practices.

Experimental Chalet Val d’Isère
In the heart of the village of Val d’Isère, perched 1850m above sea level, Experimental Chalet Val d’Isère will open in France in January 2025. The 110-room hotel is home to two restaurants, a bar, a swimming poo,l and a spa, with its interior designed by Dorothée Meilichzon. Nestled at the foot of the mountains, the accommodations each present a Savoyard nod and touches of the forest, while their spa presents a welcome respite after a day on the slopes with a sauna, steam room, and indoor pool.

Australia’s premium A by Adina apartment hotel brand will make its European debut in Q1 2025 with A by Adina Vienna. In Austria’s tallest tower, the 48-story DANUBEFLATS, the 108-room hotel will feature an infinity pool overlooking St. Franziskus Church and the Reichsbrücke. On the banks of the Danube River, the elegant design concept will welcome guests for luxury short-term apartment-style hotel accommodation and a suite of amenities. From its business lounge to its wellness area – a gym, Pilates/yoga room, two saunas, quiet room and wellness bar – the hotel will also be home to a restaurant and supermarket on the ground floor.

Poised to become an iconic landmark, Corinthia Bucharest will open in early Spring 2025 in the heart of the Romanian capital. Formerly the Grand Hotel du Boulevard it is a historical landmark from 1867 located at the crossroads of Calea Victoriei and Elisabeta Boulevard. Meticulously restored, it offers 30 exclusive suites that blend heritage with modern luxury, seamlessly intertwining its historic charm with world-class modern amenities. Discover. Once a hub for high society, with names like Sarah Bernhardt and George Enescu gracing its guest books, the hotel remains a cultural icon. SIRO Boka Place
Opening in Spring 2025, SIRO Boka Place will be the Balkan coast’s ultimate fitness and recovery hotel. Set against Montenegro’s stunning landscapes and charming towns, the hotel will be the second SIRO location in the world, focusing on nutrition, fitness, sleep, recovery, and mindfulness. Set to welcome guests to Porto Montenegro’s newest neighborhood. Located in the vibrant Boka Place within the Porto Montenegro development, this property is tailored for travelers who value health and well-being alongside luxury. Each has been thoughtfully designed to offer 96 guestrooms and 144 residences to exude tranquility, promote deep sleep, and support optimal recovery. With a focus on holistic well-being, SIRO Hotel offers personalized fitness and recovery programs and year-round activities like hiking, cycling, climbing UNESCO sites, rafting the Tara River, and more.

The Gallivant Littlestone Beach
Spring 2025 will see The Gallivant launch its second hotel, The Gallivant Littlestone Beach, in Kent. Sitting on an acre of dune directly beside the shoreline, the adults-only boutique property will have 13 individually considered bedrooms and a Nordic spa adjacent to the property. Guests will have access to a sitting room, breakfast room, orangery, dining room, library, members bar, a sauna, plunge pool, therapy room, and relaxation space with views to the White Cliffs of Dover at the Nordic spa. Invoking the style and glamor of the early 1920s, styling will be inspired by the Art Deco era with strong colors and bold patterns alongside more modern luxury touches.

Portrush Adelphi now accepts reservations before the property’s opening in Spring 2025. The 34-key hotel blends old-world charm with new- era luxury, the hotel is just one hour from Belfast and will be home to a food and beverage concept that celebrates the distinct beauty, rich history, and golf legacy of its iconic hometown, Portrush. Located in the city home to Northern Ireland’s only UNESCO World Heritage site, Giant’s Causeway, and the 153rd Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club, which will be taking place July 13-20, 2025, the hotel is also near the renowned Dunluce Links, one of the most challenging golf courses in the world.
EDITION Hotels
The Lake Como EDITION is slated to open in Spring 2025 with 142 guest rooms, including two penthouse suites, a lively lobby bar, a floating pool, and several restaurants and bars overlooking Lake Como with breathtaking views of the Bellagio mountains. The property is a 19th-century building located on the western shore of the prestigious Lake Como, a short drive from Central Milan. It will be converted into a luxury lifestyle destination that brings new life to Lake Como while honoring the intimate history of the building and its rich heritage.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts
Rosewood’s first property in the Netherlands will open in Spring 2025, housed in the former Palace of Justice. Overlooking the Prinsengracht (the Prince’s Canal) and part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Amsterdam Canal District, Rosewood Amsterdam will be ideally situated near many of the city’s finest attractions. It will offer 134 guest rooms and suites, quiet internal courtyards, and iconic townhouse rooftops, with decorative details paying homage to the signature spirit of both the building and the city. Onsite amenities include three restaurants and bars, an Asaya Spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an indoor swimming pool.
Marriott International
In Spring 2025, W Florence is set to open just steps from the picturesque Ponte Vecchio riverfront and the majestic Duomo. Adding to the vibrant social hub in the heart of the artistic city, the hotel will serve as a modern and sophisticated gateway to the city’s world-renowned art, thriving culinary scene, and the prestigious shopping district of Via de Tornabuoni. It features 119 guestrooms and 16 suites, including the penthouse suite, which promises an expansive living space, a private terrace, and breathtaking views of the Duomo and Santa Maria Novella church. W Florence will embody cutting-edge style and distinct design and be home to the iconic W Lounge, a lavish rooftop garden, and more.
Romègas
In Summer 2025, after five years of renovation, Romègas, Valletta, Malta will open in the heart of the capital. The 23 individually designed rooms and suites feature traditional terrazzo flooring, wood paneling, restored hand-carved stone facades, and original Maltese balconies, with views onto the sepia streets of Valletta. One of Valletta’s first true luxury boutique hotels, Romègas is an inspiring transformation of a 500-year-old palazzo and will present a stylish bar and rooftop pool overlooking the city, bay, and Manoel Island.
Mikkel Vang
1 Hotel Copenhagen will sprout in the Danish capital in the Summer of 2025 and be built to be a place where urban charm meets the tranquility of nature. Located at the intersection of the city’s vibrant Latin Quarter and its historic heart, guests can explore Copenhagen’s rich tapestry of parks and museums on the bike. The hotel will be a sustainable sanctuary featuring 282 rooms, including 30 suites, a Bamford Wellness Spa, a lobby bar, and a Green-Michelin-starred Chef at the helm of its signature restaurant.
Mandarin Oriental
Mandarin Oriental Cristallo, Cortina
After a substantial two-year renovation, Mandarin Oriental Cristallo, Cortina will open in the summer of 2025 ahead of the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics. The historic Hotel Cristallo in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, is being transformed into the Group’s first alpine resort and extending its presence in Italy. Sitting above the most recognized mountain village in the Dolomites, the hotel will feature 83 guestrooms, including 30 spacious suites with beautiful views of the Dolomites. It will also feature a range of restaurants and bars, flexible spaces for entertainment and events, and an extensive spa and wellness facility, which includes a swimming pool that transverses from inside to outside the building.
Corinthia Rome
At the end of summer 2025, Corinthia Rome guests to the beautiful grand neoclassical palazzo, which dates back to 1914. Formerly the Central Bank of Italy seat, the hotel is minutes from the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps, located in the Campo Marzio area. Set on Parliament Square in the heart of Rome, Corinthia has reimagined and restored the intrinsic beauty of this distinguished property, transforming it into an ultra-luxury destination. In addition to the sumptuous 60 guest suites and bedrooms, destination restaurants from Chef Carlo Cracco and bars will be wrapped around a central garden, rooftop amenities, and a spa. The boutique hotel will infuse human connection and artistic expression with masterfully created spaces.
Rodolphe Parente
The new hotel will open in the Summer of 2025, featuring 78 rooms and suites in the affluent district with the famous Via Veneto. Adjacent to the Swiss Institute of Rome building, the Experimental Roma (provisional name) will open at Via Ludovisi 46, transforming an office building led by designer and interior architect Rodolphe Parente. It will be home to a vast restaurant under a central glass roof, an Experimental Cocktail Club Roma bar, and a rooftop swimming pool overlooking the city, with the Colosseum and the main Roman monuments in the background.
The Newman
Opening in the summer of 2025, The Newman, London, is the first hotel to be opened by the new international hospitality management company Kinsfolk & Co. In the creative village of Fitzrovia, the contemporary hotel will offer 81 rooms and suites, a European brasserie (with an outdoor terrace), a cocktail bar, and a wellness floor. While the hotel presents a contemporary Art Deco aesthetic that nods to the area’s inspiring character, the spa at The Newman embraces Nordic simplicity, blending minimalism with innovation and functionality. This whole floor is dedicated to wellness, with hot and cold experience cabins, an active salt therapy room, a hydrotherapy pool, and a day spa for residents and locals.
Nordelaia Beaulieu
Set to open in the Summer of 2025, Nordelaia Beaulieu will be a new independent boutique hotel in the charming coastal town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer on The French Riviera. As the second opening from behind Nordelaia in Piedmont, which received a Michelin key in 2024, this property will feature just 33 rooms and suites. Overlooking the port in Beaulieu-sur-Mer in Côte d’Azur, the 1960s seafront building is being transformed by award-winning Yakusha Studio with a minimalist design scheme. Offering the only rooftop terrace in Beaulieu, guests will be presented with spectacular views over the Mediterranean Sea and tapas-style dining. Completing the offering will be an outdoor pool area and gym.
Marriott International
JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa
Marking the brand’s debut on the stunning Cretan seafront, JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa will open in Summer 2025. Nestled in the picturesque locale of Marathi, near Chania, the resort spans 100 acres of coastal beauty and seamlessly blends modern elegance with the island’s rich heritage. Set to offer 160 luxurious guest rooms, suites and villas, each offers direct sea access and interiors that merge contemporary aesthetics with the oceanscape. The resort will be home to five dining venues that draw inspiration from local flavors, featuring ingredients sourced from the JW Garden and the resort’s spa, ANOSEAS, which invites relaxation and discovery. Among its many treasures is Linovrochi, a subterranean sanctuary nestled within a magical cave where guests can rejuvenate and connect with nature through private and guided meditation sessions.
Six Senses Milan
Six Senses Milan will open in the second half of 2025 and welcome guests to this prime address in Milan in the heart of the artistic Brera quarter. Tucked away in this artists’ quarter, the hotel marks the brand’s second Italian property following Six Senses Rome’s 2023 debut. It will take guests on a journey of discovery through craftsmanship and timeless style. Along with a specialty restaurant and deli, scenic rooftop bar, sky pool, and an internal courtyard, there will be a prominent space dedicated to the hotel’s Earth Lab, where the hotel shares sustainability efforts conducted on-site and within the local community. It will offer 68 guestrooms, 15 of them being suites, as well as a state-of-the-art spa that will administer a variety of high-tech, high-touch treatments.
Son Molí
Son Molí, Mallorca
Just 15 minutes outside Mallorca’s glamorous capital, Palma, Son Molí, Mallorca is a boutique hotel with 22 rooms and suites. The second opening from the team behind the award-winning Can Bordoy is set in 50,000 square feet of uninterrupted nature, with landscaped gardens, orchards, and a farm, making it feel a world away from the city. Built around a 19th-century farmhouse, the hotel retains authentic features, including a striking windmill that nods to the building’s agricultural past and its rustic and relaxed interiors. The restaurant, Lassala, offers a menu of plant-forward dishes created by Chef Andres Benítez, behind the acclaimed Botànic restaurant at Can Bordoy. In contrast, the spa offers a program of mindfulness experiences, along with an outdoor heated swimming pool, cold plunge and sauna.

Opening in the second half of 2025, The Chancery Rosewood is set in the prestigious neighborhood of Mayfair. It will balance the rich history of the iconic building with the contemporary comforts of today’s luxury traveler. The First Cortina, by The Pavilions
Featuring 63 rooms and suites, all with spacious balconies overlooking the surrounding UNESCO-protected Dolomites National Park, The First Cortina, by The Pavilions, will open in Q4 2025. Located on Corso Italia in the heart of Cortina d’Ampezzo, the historic former home of the Hotel Splendid Venezia has undergone a contemporary renaissance to present a modern Italian interpretation of circular architecture. From its signature restaurant on the ground floor to a panoramic restaurant and Sky Room on the top floor, other hotel facilities will include a REVIVO spa and wellness center with state-of-the-art offerings and will it also offer The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts’ brand experiences including its signature Curated Journeys.

Opening in Q4 2025, The Ilisian will transform the iconic former Hilton Athens into a premier mixed-use hub. Blending contemporary international trends with the city’s heritage, Conrad Athens will feature 280 well-appointed guest rooms and suites, each with expansive views of historic Athens. Along with 37 private residences such as Waldorf Astoria Residences, on the upper floors of the building, the vast 400 sq. m. rooftop suite provides a luxury birds-eye view of the iconic city. The hotel will also house a luxury private members’ club and a variety of culinary and entertainment venues, as well as a semi-Olympic outdoor pool and a 700m long outdoor running track on the mezzanine rooftop and curated shopping, leisure and wellness experiences.

Opening in 2025 (date TBD) in a restored art deco emporium and former department store – Whiteleys, Six Senses London will be situated in the Queensway community in London. Near Hyde Park and Kensington Palace, the hotel will offer 109 guest rooms, suites, and 14 branded residences; the design combines nostalgic nods to classical detailing, art deco, and modern streamlining. From its cozy lobby bar and lounge to its all-day dining restaurant to the expansive Six Senses Spa, guests will be connected to nature from the property’s design to its many unique offerings. The second floor will also be home to Six Senses Place, a private social and wellness club offering pioneering programming and many other amenities.

In Italy’s Unesco-protected Dolomites, Aman Rosa Alpina will open in 2025 in the town of San Cassiano. The revamped hotel will offer 50 rooms and suites. The refined gastronomy will draw upon the hotel’s rich culinary heritage, providing a variety of options, from informal alfresco fondues to exquisite fine dining multi-course feasts. In line with the Aman philosophy the property will offer refined elegance which can be seen through its design just off the skiing trails of the Dolomites. The wellness offering will be extended to almost double the original size and reconfigured to incorporate an outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi.

The Royal Plaza & Villa Toscane in Montreux, Switzerland will be transformed into the first international hotel for Project HQ, the first from Sam Nazarian of sbe. Opening in 2025, the 155-room hotel will also feature 42 residences, after major renovations to the site which has a history dating back to 1905. The hotel will feature two signature restaurants from sbe’s Disruptive Restaurant Group, a bespoke cocktail bar, an on-site coffee shop, a spa, a fitness center and significant event and meeting space.
