SE Spa at Grand Velas Riviera Maya Gets Five-Stars from Forbes Travel Guide

Lifestyle

SE Spa at Grand Velas Riviera Maya has received Five-Stars from Forbes Travel Guide in its 2020 Star Awards. The spa was lauded for its exemplary service, dramatic design, unique facilities and diverse menu of locally inspired spa offerings.

Inspired by the jungle and natural water pools of the Yucatan Peninsula, SE Spa at Grand Velas Riviera Maya is 90,000 square feet. The stone, plants and streams specific to the Riviera Maya landscape were incorporated into the curved, organic design of the two-level spa, set just below ground level to allow a living rock wall with plants and flowers, and even a small stream, to form part of its structure.

Included with any treatment 50 minutes or more, the Grand Velas Riviera Maya Hydrotherapy Journey is composed of seven different water experiences, including a eucalyptus-scented steam room with chromotherapy, polar pool, aromatherapy sensory shower, sauna, Jacuzzi and multi-sensory pool.

The central pool features several hydro elements such as powerful massaging faucets for the neck and back and bubble beds, carved-stone chaises with jets set just underneath the surface of the water on which guests recline.

Riviera Maya is an ultra-luxury all-inclusive resort set on 206 acres of pristine jungle and mangroves and with the finest white sand beach in the Riviera Maya.

All 539 designer-like suites are exceptionally spacious, more than 1,100 square feet each, all with balconies, and some with private plunge pools.

Resort nightly rates start at $478 USD. Rates are per person based on double occupancy and include luxury suite accommodations, à la carte gourmet meals at a variety of specialty restaurants, premium branded beverages, 24-hour in-suite service, fitness center, taxes, gratuity and more.
