Ask the experts: Tell us about your family and we’ll suggest the perfect summer holiday destination

Advice

Choosing a holiday destination to suit every member of the family can be a tricky balancing act. Mum might fancy a vineyard tour, visiting the local markets, and a sandy beach on which to soak up the sun, while Dad may be more interested in hiring bicycles, a trip to a nearby castle, and finding a pub that’s showing the football. Or vice versa.

Younger kids will probably throw a tantrum if a theme park isn’t on the itinerary, while teens will definitely have a fit if the hotel doesn’t have decent Wi-Fi.

There’s almost always a destination to suit any family, however – even one with eclectic tastes. You just need the right guidance.

If you have struggled to keep everyone happy on your family holidays, or just need a tip for this summer, we want to hear from you. Using the form below, please tell us a bit about each member of your clan. How old are they? What are their interests? What are they looking for on a holiday? What do they want to avoid at all costs?

Our travel experts will assess your various needs and email you their suggestions, while a handful of those we contact will – with their permission – feature as case studies in The Telegraph.
