Where To Watch The New York Liberty Finals In New York City

It’s a big season for New York sports! Both the Yankees and the Mets have made it to the MLB playoffs and the New York Liberty is back in the WNBA Finals for the second year in the row. This time, the basketball team is facing off against the Minnesota Lynx, as the Brooklyn-based team vies for its first ever championship title.

The best of five series kicks off on Thursday, October 10 at 8 p.m. at Barclays Center. But for those who don’t have tickets to the stadium, there are increasingly more spaces to watch women’s sports in New York City.

Here’s where to cheer on the Liberty with local fans:

Hutch Astoria

In partnership with local pop-up Dave’s Lesbian Bar, this Astoria bar will show the WNBA finals games and offer $6 well drinks after tip off. Bar snacks, fancy cocktails and plenty of beer are also available.

Fulton Hall

A few blocks from Barclays, this popular Fort Greene pre and post game meetup spot will be showing the finals. There’s an extensive beer selection, including seasonal specials, including local favorites such as Blue Point’s Mother Pumpkin Ale and Catskills Brewery’s Barkaboom Oktoberfest, plus a full menu of bar snacks and entrees.

Ginger’s Bar

Park Slope’s famous lesbian dive bar will be showing the game live. The backyard is open for those who need some fresh air, and takeout food is welcome.

Mary’s Bar

The sister pub to Ginger’s, this Greenpoint queer bar will also have the New York Liberty games on in the intimate space.

Blue Haven South

Following a series of New York Liberty and Gotham watch parties this summer, the FiDi sports bar is committed to showing the finals games, as well as the other New York sporting events on at the same time, thanks to multiple screens.

Fool’s Gold

Head to Houston St. for a double header watch party in SoHo. That is, Fool’s Good is celebrating “Thirsty Thursday” with the Yankees and New York Liberty games. Both games will be shown across 10 TVs and wings, beer and shots specials will be available all night.

Tiny’s Cantina

Blocks from the Barclays Center in Prospect Heights, this Mexican restaurant will show the game along with frozen cocktails, fajitas, multiple types of guacamole and more.

Clara’s

Dubbed “The OG place to be for all sports in Bushwick” this Brooklyn bar will be showing the WNBA finals along with multiple New York sports games on other screens. The neighborhood spot is a popular stop for fried pickles, buffalo chicken quesadillas, jalapeno poppers, several types of wings and fries and so much more.

Alta Calidad

While they don’t have TVs, the Prospect Heights contemporary Mexican restaurant is supporting Liberty fans my offering a free mini margarita to anyone with game tickets when they stop in for a bite before the game.
